Our 950 year old Great Hall offers the perfect historic setting, and is fully licensed for civil ceremonies for a maximum of 90 guests.
For couples considering a church blessing, the beautiful parish church of Rockingham – St Leonard’s – sits within the grounds, just a short walk from the Castle*.
Extra special drinks reception
Enjoy your drinks reception on our Terrace Lawn, with the Castle backdrop and stunning views over the Welland Valley landscape. Alternatively, the Panel Room, with its beautifully panelled walls and artworks, or the 17th century Walker’s House which boasts charm and character, both offer unique appeal for guests during your drinks reception.
Superb dining options – the personal touch
At Rockingham Castle pride ourselves on our versatile wedding breakfast options which can be adapted for your needs. We can seat a maximum of 60 guests in the Great Hall, or up to 90 guests for the wedding breakfast in the dining room in Walker’s House.
Let’s celebrate – your evening reception
For the evening reception, Walker’s House is the perfect location for up to up to 120 guests. In addition to the ground-level dining room, you can choose to use the dance and bar area on the lower floor, known as the Undercroft, and two additional rooms on the top floor. For larger evening ceremonies our courtyard lawn can accommodate a marquee, provided by our reputable chosen supplier.
* Consent for use of the church is by separate arrangement with the parish vicar. Please allow at least 9 months lead-time to accommodate this.
