Experience a unique Victorian Christmas at Rockingham Castle

Candle lit trees, roaring fires and magnificent period costume – enjoy festive magic with a Victorian twist at Rockingham Castle.

Visitors will be transported back to Christmas Eve in 1849, to the reign of Queen Victoria, as the Watson family gather for their traditional Christmas celebrations.

With the Castle rooms decorated just as it would have been at the time, guests will be entertained by the housekeeper, governess, butler or footman, who will share delightful stories of Victorian family life.

Festive Lunches in Walker’s House are now fully booked. However, there will be a range of cakes, light bites, mulled wine and hot drinks available in our heated marquee, provided by Roaming Giraffe.

The Castle Gift Shop will also be filled with a selection of Christmas gifts for friends and family, as well rare and limited-edition decorations for visitors to recreate the feel of a Victorian Christmas in their own home.
