FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR GARDENS OPENING

 

Can I buy tickets on arrival?

No all tickets must be purchased online before the visit.

 

Do I need to print my tickets?

You can either print your tickets or show them on your phone or device.

 

Can I arrive at a different time than what is on my ticket?

The start time will be issued on your ticket but you can arrive anytime between your allocated time slot.

 

Do I have to pay for parking?

No, car parking is included in your admission ticket.

 

Is the Castle Open?

Unfortunately, due to social distancing guidelines, we are currently unable to open the Castle to visitors.

 

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome in the gardens on a lead.  A water bowl is available in the Courtyard.

 

I have an infant, do they need a ticket?

All children 3 and under will receive free entry, they do not need a ticket.

 

Can I bring a picnic?

Yes you are more than welcome to bring your own picnic to have in the gardens.  We ask that all rubbish is disposed of in the bins provided or taken home with you.

 

Does the Castle have seating?

At the moment, due to current government guidelines, we do not have picnic benches available.  You are welcome to either sit on the grass or bring a camping chair. From 7th July, seating will be available in our Courtyard. There are some benches spaced around the gardens for those who struggle to walk longer distances.

 

When will the Castle Open?

The Castle will reopen when it is safe for both our visitors and staff.  This will be continually reviewed and advertised on our website when possible.
