We have masses of big open spaces for children to run around in and enjoy themselves. You are free to bring games to play but please refrain from playing ball games in the formal part of the garden.
The formal gardens are generally accessible to those with a mobility constraint. The paths throughout the formal gardens are gravelled. We have installed handrails, ramps and added a “by pass path” to a set of steps in the Rose Garden. The beautiful Wild Gardens are set in a steep sided Valley where access is more difficult. For further information please click here.
Dogs are most welcome in the Gardens so long as they are kept under control and on a lead. We regret that dogs are not allowed on the Castle tours with the exception of certified assistance dogs.
The toilets will be open during our open days.
