Corporate Events at Rockingham Castle

As an early defensive position dating back to Saxon times, Rockingham Castle has the reward of being in a magnificent setting, dominating the local landscape. The sweep of the lush parkland and meadows has replaced the dense forest of the Middle Ages and the years have mellowed the colours of the ironstone, while the sun’s reflection off the limestone gives the Castle a luminous quality as it nestles into the hillside.

For centuries Rockingham Castle has entertained royalty and private guests within its ancient walls. The history and tradition continue today. The beautiful and peaceful grounds of the Castle provide an ideal backdrop for an out of office meeting, seminar or conference in a spectacular setting. The available rooms provide flexible space for a diverse range of events. There is a minimum requirement of 20 delegates for any booking.

The day delegate rate for the Great Hall in £65 per person. The day delegate rate for Walker’s House is £45 per person. Both of the above include catering.

Private Dining

Royalty and private guests alike have been entertained within the Castle’s ancient walls for centuries. The magnificent medieval Great Hall, built around 1200, is an impressive room for dinner, with its high ceilings, vast open fire and historic paintings. The Hall can seat up to 70 guests at round tables or up to 32 guests on one long ‘medieval style’ table. The adjacent Panel Room is ideally suited for reception drinks prior to dining in the Great Hall.

Walker’s House, standing in the Castle Courtyard, provides a large dining area with fireplaces and a separate bar area known as the Undercroft for pre dinner drinks. Walker’s House can seat up to 80 guests for dinner on round tables or up to 90 on rectangular tables.

All private dining is bespoke, so please telephone the estate office to speak to a member of staff regarding your specific requirements.
