Christmas is approaching quickly here at Rockingham with our Victorian Christmas event only four weeks away!

Its Christmas Eve 1881, George Lewis Watson his wife Laura Maria and several of their relatives are at Rockingham for Christmas. The Castle staff are busy preparing a magnificent family Christmas gathering. Dressed in period costume, the House Keeper, Governess, Butler & Footman will be taking you back in time to the reign of Queen Victoria; their stories of Victorian family life below stairs and above stairs will entertain and delight.

A wealth of beautifully lit Christmas trees in the Castle Courtyard welcomes you to Christmas of a bygone era. Our team in Walkers House restaurant will be serving a delicious selection of homemade and locally sourced dishes, tea, coffee, cake, warmed mince pies and mulled wine. There is also a heated marquee situated in the courtyard serving hot snacks and our Gardening team with their ‘Gardeners Shop’ are also very happy to dispense gardening tips. The Castle Gift Shop is filled with delightful Christmas goodies and gifts for friends and family. Come along and enjoy Christmas Shopping with a difference win the Castles beautiful surroundings.

On Tuesday & Thursday only the Valley Voice Choir will be adding an even more festive flair to proceedings by carol singing in the Castle courtyard starting at approximately 6pm on each day.

Gates open daily ready for the first tour at 11am. Tours run every 15 minutes throughout the day with the last tour at 7:30pm.
Adults £8.50, Children (5-16) £3.50, under 5’s are free.
Grounds and Car parking £4 per car.

Aside from the Car Parking their is no additional charge for visiting the Castle Gift Shop, Gardens and Restaurant.
