The Castle has again won gold! Christmas Eve 1895 is one of the most successful and popular events during the year at Rockingham. With the Castle completely decorated in high Victorian style the costumed staff tell the story of readying the Castle for the families Christmas. The Butler, Housekeeper and Governess bring the Castle to life with tales from below stairs.
The awards evening, hosted Northamptonshire Renaissance Heitage, was held at Abington Park Museum in Northampton, celebrated the remarkable range and variety of heritage available in the Country for residents and visitors alike.
Andrew Norman, Operations Manager said "We are naturally delighted to have won the gold award for the Christmas 1895 event. A huge amount of commitment is made by all of the Castle staff to ensure that this event is enjoyed by all our visitors. It is enormously satisfying for all concerned to have such high profile recognition".
